India, June 15 -- Manoj Bajpayee has been able to show a substantial improvement in the box office performance of his new film, 'Governor,' on day 3. The film attracted more viewers to theaters on its first two days than on the strength of its typical Sunday attendance. It collected a net of Rs.1.40 crore in 1,423 shows across the country on Day 3 of its tour.

This slight but important jump in numbers shows increasing interest, especially among urban viewers who prefer intense, content-driven stories over typical mainstream entertainers. It's welcome news for the film's producers, as it opened the weekend on a positive note, following a fairly slow opening on Friday.
