India, Aug. 8 -- Google could soon enter the smart-tracker market with its first in-house Pixel Tag, giving Android users a first-party alternative to Apple's AirTag. Leaks suggest Google could announce the device on August 12, alongside the Pixel 11 series, although the company has not officially confirmed the Pixel Tag or its launch plans.

A reported European price of around €34.99 would put the Pixel Tag almost directly against Apple's latest AirTag. That makes the hardware's unconfirmed features, particularly Ultra Wideband (UWB) support, important to how competitive Google's tracker could become.
