India, Sept. 18 -- India has its official film for the 99th Academy Awards and this time the country has selected a Marathi psychological thriller. Santosh Davakhar's Gondhal will represent India in the Best International Feature Film category at the Oscars 2027 after being chosen by the Film Federation of India from 33 submissions.
