The benchmark 24K gold rate increased to Rs.15,235 per gram, while 22K gold stood at Rs.13,965 per gram and 18K gold at Rs.11,426 per gram.

The latest move comes after gold prices had already recorded strong gains during the week. Goodreturns' data shows the national 24K rate rising from Rs.14,400 per gram on August 4 to Rs.15,235 on August 8, while the 22K rate increased from Rs.13,200 to Rs.13,965 over the same period.
