India, Aug. 13 -- Gold prices remained high in India on August 13, with the precious metal holding near recent highs as global bullion markets continued to attract safe-haven buying. Investors tracked US inflation data, Federal Reserve rate expectations, geopolitical tensions and movements in the dollar for fresh cues. Domestic prices also stayed firm, keeping gold near the Rs.1.55 lakh per-10-gram mark.

The latest rates showed 24K gold at around Rs.1,55,130 per 10 grams, while 22K gold stood at Rs.1,42,200 per 10 grams and 18K gold at Rs.1,16,350 per 10 grams.
