India, Sept. 1 -- A routine morning journey from Goa to Delhi turned into an emergency on Tuesday after an Indigo aircraft reported an engine failure shortly after take-off. The aircraft changed course and returned to Goa, where airport authorities activated emergency procedures before the plane landed safely with all passengers on board. The incident involved Indigo flight 6E 2102, which had departed Goa for Delhi at around 9:16 am.

The aircraft began its return after an issue with one of its engines was reported, prompting Air Traffic Control (ATC) to declare a full emergency as a precaution.
