India, Aug. 8 -- The FIFA presidency has come under fresh scrutiny following a report concerning Gianni Infantino's time as UEFA general secretary. According to an investigation by The Telegraph, a junior female employee who was allegedly in a relationship with Infantino received a six-figure payout from UEFA when she left the organisation.

The report also claims that the woman received a promotion and a 30% salary increase during the period in which the alleged relationship took place, taking her annual salary to around £147,000. UEFA has confirmed that it paid the woman a departure package and covered the cost of an MBA programme, while maintaining that the payments complied with the rules in place at the time.
