India, Oct. 6 -- Major beverage manufacturer PepsiCo has initiated a sweeping voluntary recall affecting more than 122,000 cases of Gatorade distributed across thirty-seven US states, following the discovery of undeclared artificial food dyes.

Federal regulatory filings from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) indicate that the recalled inventory contains unlisted quantities of FD&C Yellow No. 5 and FD&C Yellow No. 6.

The administrative action, which applies specifically to 28-ounce bottle configurations of popular citrus flavours, has triggered urgent inventory audits across retail supply chains nationwide.
