India, April 9 -- Fuel Prices Today, 9 April 2026: International crude oil prices are beginning to stabilize following their sharpest single-day crash in years triggered by the two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran. Global benchmarks experienced a dramatic 13-18% plunge immediately after President Trump announced the ceasefire, as the "war premium" deflated on hopes of the Strait of Hormuz reopening. Domestic retail fuel prices in India, however, remain largely unchanged as oil marketing companies (OMCs) assess the durability of the truce.
