India, May 25 -- Fuel Prices have seen another price hike as petrol prices increase by Rs 2.61 per litre and diesel by Rs 2.71. This marks the fourth fuel price hike in the last two weeks. The conflict in West Asia has driven international crude oil prices sharply higher, thus impacting fuel prices in India as well.
With this latest revision by state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs), cumulative fuel price hikes have crossed Rs.7.5 per litre since adjustments resumed on May 15, breaking an extended four-year price freeze. Petrol has officially crossed the Rs.100-per-litre threshold in New Delhi.
