Fuel Price Hike: Petrol and Diesel Prices Rise Again Across India Amid Global Crude Concerns
India, May 23 -- Petrol and diesel prices increased once again on Saturday, marking the third fuel price hike within the last 10 days. The latest revision pushed petrol prices higher by 87 paise per litre, while diesel rates climbed by 91 paise per litre. The fresh increase has further added pressure on household budgets and transportation costs across the country.
Following the new revision, petrol in Delhi is now being sold at Rs 99.51 per litre, while diesel has reached Rs 92.49 per litre. The recent hikes come as state-owned oil marketing companies continue adjusting domestic fuel prices in response to rising international crude oil prices and ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
