FSSAI Serves Legal Notices to Multiple 'Energy Drinks' Brands

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), which is India's main regulator for the food and beverage segment, targeted several brands labeled as 'energy drinks' today. In an Instagram post, the regulator said that it had "issued notices to several beverage brands claiming to be 'energy drinks' for misbranding and misleading claims". This is not the first time it has taken legal action against FMCG brands.
