India, Oct. 25 -- Indians are no strangers to protest, be it farmers marching, students mobilizing, citizens challenging decisions they believed were against their interests, or people fighting against the Emergency. That is part of the story of our democratic journey. Each government comes with a vision for the country, which citizens choose through the electoral process. Nonetheless, there may be disagreements over methods; opposition and pressure groups may suggest alternatives and ultimately demand better outcomes. Regardless, each time the larger objective should remain the same: a better country and a better life for its people.
