India, June 28 -- French Health Minister Stephanie Rist issued a warning about 'higher than normal' deaths due to heat in the country. Meteo France has drastically reduced the number of red alerts, in a positive development.

Stephanie Rist, the Health minister of France recently gave an interview to a leading publication of the country. She said "The extreme heat of recent days has a delayed impact, particularly on vulnerable people but also on some younger ones, who end up in the emergency room five to 10 days after the heatwave".
