India, April 23 -- In a significant breakthrough for security forces, Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested four overground workers (OGWs), including a woman, during a targeted operation in the Hazratbal area of Srinagar. The arrests were made on Wednesday night following specific intelligence inputs about a suspected terror support module operating in Central Kashmir.
The accused have been identified as Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, and Shazia Mohammad, all residents of Hazratbal. According to a senior police officer, the group was allegedly involved in providing logistical assistance to terrorists, including shelter, movement facilitation, and communication support.
