India, June 17 -- Floyd Mayweather is facing two felony charges in Las Vegas following allegations that he issued a bad cheque while purchasing a luxury watch from a resale store. The case has brought fresh legal attention to the boxing star off the ring.

He was due to make an initial court appearance on Monday at Las Vegas Justice Court but did not attend in person. Instead, his lawyer appeared on his behalf, according to the Clark County District Attorney's office.
