India, Aug. 4 -- The Washington DC region faced fresh flash flooding warnings on Monday as a slow-moving storm system delivered another round of heavy thunderstorms, only a day after torrential rain caused what forecasters described as life-threatening flooding across the western suburbs.

The National Weather Service said not everyone in the region would see rain, but areas that did could experience heavy downpours capable of overwhelming drainage systems already saturated from the weekend's storms. Areas that see rain could experience heavy downpours, gusty winds and localised flash flooding, according to 7News First Alert Meteorologist Jordan Evans.
