India, June 11 -- FIFA World Cup 2026 Prize Money: The FIFA World Cup 2026 is all set for a grand occasion as 48 teams will compete for the top honour in world football. While the eyes are on a place in the history books, the reward will also come in terms of finances. Teams will earn as much as $50 million while the total prize money exceeds $800 million.

FIFA has approved a record financial package worth $871 million for the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The amount is nearly double the $440 million distributed during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and reflects the expansion from 32 teams to 48 teams.
