India, Sept. 23 -- India will have four fencers in action in the individual events on September 23, with Naorem Mina Devi and Joys Ashitha Stalinraj competing in women's foil and Gisho Nidhi K.P. and Karan Singh taking part in men's sabre.

The day began with the women's foil pool bouts at Aichi Sky Expo Hall F, with Mina Devi and Joys Ashitha Stalinraj starting their campaigns from 6:30 AM onwards. Their results in the pool stage will determine whether they progress to the knockout rounds, with the women's foil Round of 32 scheduled from 9:30 AM.
