India, Aug. 21 -- A 7-year-old boy was left alone at the sixth station of Mount Fuji after his father reportedly told him to wait there and continued climbing toward the summit with his older son. The child was later found sitting by himself near a mountain hut and was safely reunited with his father after police intervened.

The incident took place on August 20 on the Fujinomiya Trail on the Shizuoka side of Mount Fuji, according to Japanese media reports citing police and mountain hut staff.
