India, July 5 -- The Central government has clarified that using E20 petrol will not affect your vehicle's insurance or warranty, after claims on social media suggested otherwise. The government said insurance companies and car manufacturers have confirmed that motorists can use E20 fuel without worrying about rejected insurance claims or cancelled warranties. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said people can use E20 fuel without any concern. It added that both insurance companies and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) have confirmed that using E20 petrol does not cancel vehicle insurance or warranty.
