India, Oct. 7 -- Cristiano Ronaldo once again finds himself at the centre of a shocking viral claim. After Lionel Messi's Argentina farewell, the Portugal football icon reportedly expressed his desire to have a similar event when he takes international retirement. While Messi has drawn the curtains on his decorated career with a match-defining performance against Benin, the situation is quite different for Ronaldo.

The Al Nassr captain recently left the Portugal camp amid the Nations League following a "misunderstanding" with team boss Jorge Jesus. Though he hasn't called time on his international career, his return to the national team setup remains uncertain as of now.
