India, Oct. 11 -- Kimi Antonelli strengthened his position at the top of the 2026 Formula 1 Drivers' Championship after finishing third at the Singapore Grand Prix, putting himself in a position to clinch the world title at the United States Grand Prix in Austin.

Max Verstappen also made a huge move in the standings after winning at Marina Bay. The Red Bull driver climbed to fourth place with 221 points, just eight behind Lewis Hamilton in third and 17 behind George Russell in second.

Antonelli leads the championship with 340 points, holding a 102-point advantage over Mercedes team-mate Russell, who has 238. Hamilton sits third on 229 points, while Charles Leclerc is fifth with 215.
