India, April 1 -- A US Air Force F‑35 Lightning II stealth fighter aircraft crashed on Tuesday in a restricted military training area north of Las Vegas, Nevada. The incident unfolded during what officials described as a routine training mission in the Nevada Test and Training Range, one of the largest controlled airspaces the US military uses for pilot exercises.
The pilot successfully ejected from the jet and is being treated for minor injuries after emergency teams found him safe, the Air Force confirmed.
