India, July 2 -- The European T20 Premier League (ETPL) 2026 took a historic stride towards its maiden season with the successful completion of its first-ever Player Draft on 2nd July 2026. Breaking away from the auction model usually followed by franchise leagues, the ETPL went with a structured draft system, thus giving all the six franchises an equal chance to bag the best domestic talent from Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands.

The franchises made 36 picks from a pool of 270 eligible cricketers in six rounds.
