India, May 26 -- In yet another shocking blow for the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), former party leader Esakki Subaya resigned from the party. He has now become the fourth former leader to quit.

Who is Esakki Subaya?

Dr. Esakki Subaya is a politician from Tamil Nadu. He was a senior leader in the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and an MLA from the Ambasamudram constituency, initially from 2011 to 2016 and then again from 2021 to 2026, until his resignation.

Subaya briefly served as the cabinet Minister for Law, Courts, and Prisons under the cabinet of then Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa. He belonged to AIADMK's SP Velumani and C Ve Shanmugam faction.
