India, June 2 -- A former associate of Melania Trump has made a controversial allegation, claiming that the First Lady once worked as an "escort" for convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and was introduced to Donald Trump through him.

The claim was made by former Brazilian model Amanda Ungaro in a recorded conversation, in which she accused her former partner, modelling agent and current presidential envoy Paolo Zampolli, of misrepresenting the circumstances under which Melania and Donald Trump first met. According to Ungaro, Zampolli, mentioning that he introduced the couple at a 1998 party is untrue.
