India, May 22 -- England coach Thomas Tuchel has named the official squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026, with some big names missing out. The squad announcement might come as a surprise to many, as several Premier League stars have failed to make the cut. Harry Kane will continue to lead the England national football team after his dominant season with Bayern Munich, while midfield veteran Jordan Henderson gets the nod.

Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire remains out of Tuchel's plans. John Stones, however, retains his place in the England squad, alongside Jarell Quansah, Reece James, and Declan Rice. Apart from Kane, the English frontline features Ivan Toney, Ollie Watkins, Bukayo Saka, and Marcus Rashford.
