India, July 9 -- The race to television's biggest prize has officially begun. The nominations for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards were unveiled on Wednesday and this year's list has everything fans could ask for.

Leading the pack is The Pitt with an impressive 25 nominations which makes it the most nominated show this year. Right behind it is the final season of Hacks which picked up 24 nominations and created a new record for the most nominations ever earned by a comedy series in a single season. Apple TV also had a reason to celebrate as Widow's Bay and Pluribus scored big while Netflix's Beef continued its award season dominance.
