Elections in five states may be brought forward
India, June 21 -- Organisational changes will intensify as BJP prepares for key state contests.
The government is preparing to hold Assembly elections in five states, including Uttar Pradesh, earlier than scheduled, with polling likely to take place towards the end of this year instead of next year. Sources indicate that both the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have already begun preparations, and a round of discussions on the issue has taken place between the two organisations.
