India, July 11 -- A fallout in cyberspace has followed one of the most controversial matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. A group of suspected Egyptian hackers managed to break into the database of the Argentine Football Association (AFA) following the thrilling 3-2 comeback win over Egypt in the Round of 16. The cybercriminals then turned the federation's own communications systems against it. They sent out a fake mass-email "admission of corruption" to accredited sports journalists worldwide.
