India, Aug. 22 -- Early in-person voting began on Saturday in Massachusetts' Democratic primary for US Senate, with polling showing 80-year-old incumbent Ed Markey holding a substantial lead over Representative Seth Moulton, whose campaign has been built almost entirely around the argument that it is time for generational change in Washington.

A Suffolk University/Boston Globe poll released on 18 August found more than 52 percent of likely primary voters said they would choose or lean towards Markey, compared with roughly 38 percent for Moulton.
