India, May 21 -- The DR Congo national football team has been forced to call off their pre-World Cup training camp due to an Ebola outbreak across the country. With the African national team heading to their second-ever FIFA World Cup campaign, the health emergency has raised questions over their preparation.

The team officials who remain in the country will be relocated in the "next few hours", with 600 suspected cases reported in DR Congo, Uganda, and South Sudan. DR Congo are slated to play a couple of warm-up games before the final event, facing Denmark on June 4 and Chile on June 9.
