India, May 24 -- India is on alert and monitoring airports and seaports in Kerala.

The impact of the WHO's declaration of a Health Emergency of International Concern following the Ebola outbreak is being felt in 30 countries, including the United States. Nearly 30 countries, including the United States, the Philippines, Thailand, and the Gulf nation of Bahrain, have either banned the entry of foreign nationals from affected areas or imposed strict arrival restrictions as a precautionary measure. India has increased surveillance at airports and some seaports and is on high alert.
