India, May 24 -- As health authorities scramble to contain a surging Ebola epidemic in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Uganda, the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has issued a dire warning, identifying 10 African nations now at high risk of a regional spread.
Countries Facing Elevated Risk
During a virtual briefing held this weekend, Africa CDC Director General Jean Kaseya confirmed that while the virus is currently concentrated in the DRC and Uganda, the potential for cross-border transmission is significant.
