India, May 21 -- East Bengal FC have ended a 22-year wait to become the Indian football champions. With Oscar Bruzon at the helm, the Torchbearers have won the Indian Super League 2025-26 title, defeating Inter Kashi on the final matchday.

It was a nervy clash at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan, with East Bengal conceding an early goal. The Red and Gold Brigade bounced back brilliantly in the second half and secured a 2-1 victory to claim their first-ever ISL trophy.
