India, Sept. 16 -- East Bengal FC will open their AFC Champions League Two 2026-27 group-stage campaign away from home when they take on Jordanian outfit Al-Hussein SC at the Amman International Stadium on Wednesday. The Kolkata-based side earned their place in the competition after a 4-1 extra-time victory over Kuwait's Al Arabi SC in the preliminary round and have been drawn in Group D alongside Al-Hussein, Iraq's Al Shorta SC and Oman's Al Seeb Club. Antonio Lopez Habas will oversee East Bengal's first ACL Two group-stage match since taking charge, with the team arriving in Jordan full of confidence after winning the Durand Cup and securing the Indian Super League title.
