India, Aug. 9 -- Ranbir Kapoor is all set to portray Lord Ram in Ramayan but there is an interesting chapter from his past that has suddenly become worth revisiting. A couple of years ago, when Adipurush was about to hit theatres in 2023, Ranbir had reportedly sponsored 10,000 tickets for underprivileged children.

The actor was not part of Adipurush nor were those tickets bought for himself. Instead, they were reportedly meant to give children an opportunity to watch the Prabhas starrer with the tickets being distributed through various NGOs across the Hindi speaking belt.

And now, with Ranbir at the centre of the much-awaited Ramayana, that old connection has found its way back into the conversation.
