India, Sept. 2 -- The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.47% on Wednesday as investors weighed renewed US-Iran tensions, elevated oil prices and Treasury yields against continued strength in artificial intelligence-related stocks. The S&P 500 also edged higher, while the Nasdaq Composite slipped slightly.

Wall Street's latest move comes after a sharp sell-off in the previous session, when rising oil prices and higher bond yields intensified concerns about inflation and the Federal Reserve's interest-rate path. Investors are now closely watching energy prices, economic data and Friday's US jobs report for clues about the next Fed move.
