India, June 6 -- Dostana 2 has hit a fresh roadblock. According to the reports, director Advait Chandan and Dharma Productions have decided to part ways on the film. Chandan spent close to seven months developing Karan Johar's project before the two mutually decided to move in different directions. The reason? Creative differences.

The update was confirmed by NDTV as the portal quoted a source as saying, "Yes, Advait was initially set to direct the film, but he and Dharma Productions eventually decided to part ways. The decision was driven by creative differences, as their respective visions for the franchise did not align. The separation was entirely amicable, and there is no bad blood between him and Karan.
