India, Sept. 25 -- Pink lights, country music, children's books and a familiar date are coming together across the United States on Friday, September 25, as communities mark the first Dolly Parton Day since the country music icon died at 80. The date carries a deliberate connection to her famous "9 to 5" song, while this year's celebrations also put the spotlight on the causes she supported throughout her life.
