Do not demonise the Chief Justice of India
India, June 14 -- The Chief Justice deserves to be heard and appreciated much like every litigant or common person wants
It is said that bad news travels faster than good news. However, we live in times where public discourse travels even faster than bad news, especially if it carries with it the potential of making attention-grabbing headlines. Recently, the Chief Justice of India was at the receiving end of this phenomenon. Even before the courtroom utterance spilled out in the corridors of the Apex Court, the media took it to the far corners of the country without much context, much like a batsman managing big boundaries and the commentators going wild describing the display without any correlation to the result of the match.
