India, July 14 -- The Bahamas continues to mourn the devastating plane crash that claimed 10 lives, including five members of the popular Da Pond Band. Among those who also lost their life was Melvin Henfield, better known to fans and listeners as DJ Fresh.
According to reports, the Cessna aircraft crashed at around 1 PM local time on Friday, July 10 while travelling to San Andros. Members of Da Pond Band, were headed to perform at the 31st annual All-Andros and the Berry Island Regatta. DJ Fresh was also among the 10 people who died in the crash.
The tragedy has sent shockwaves through the Bahamian music community with tributes pouring in for the artists and entertainers who were onboard.
