India, July 6 -- Sara Cox officially took over one of the biggest jobs in British radio on Monday: she made her debut as the new host of BBC Radio 2's Breakfast Show. She stepped into the weekday slot after Scott Mills' exit and brought her trademark humour, personal stories and music to listeners. By the end of the show, many critics agreed she had made a confident start. But not everyone felt the debut was perfect.

The presenter began her first breakfast show with Lizzo's About Damn Time. She later followed it with CeCe Peniston's Finally.
