India, June 30 -- The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has started in Delhi today, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) beginning door to door voter verification across the city. The exercise is also being carried out in Karnataka, Meghalaya, Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Delhi Chief Electoral Officer Alok Kumar said the verification process will continue till July 29. After the house to house verification ends on July 29, the Election Commission will publish the draft electoral roll on August 5. From August 5 to September 4, voters can check the draft list and submit claims or objections if they find any mistakes or if their name is missing.
