India, Aug. 15 -- Delhi is likely to witness generally cloudy skies with spells of very light to light rain on Saturday, August 15, as the national capital celebrates its 80th Independence Day. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for all districts, with thunderstorms and light rain expected during the morning. The weather department has forecast brief spells of rain around the Red Fort during the Independence Day celebrations, although no significant heavy rainfall is expected during the main morning programme.
