India, May 31 -- The office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi has expressed concern over the slow pace of electoral roll mapping in the national capital, with only 42.53 per cent of the exercise completed so far. Officials said migration of residents, locked homes and difficulties in verifying voters have emerged as major challenges in the ongoing revision process.

According to the CEO's office, only 62.44 lakh electors had been mapped till May 26 by matching the 2025 electoral roll with records from the last intensive revision conducted in 2002. The low percentage has raised concerns ahead of future electoral exercises, as authorities aim to ensure accurate and updated voter lists.
