India, Oct. 30 -- Dax Shepard has opened up about his early attempts to impress Kate Hudson, revealing that he was drawn to the actress even when she was married to musician Chris Robinson. The actor recalled how he first met Hudson at a poker night at Robinson's house and tried his best to charm her, despite knowing she was in a relationship.

Shepard, who later dated Hudson for three months in 2007, shared the story during the October 28 episode of his 'Armchair Expert' podcast. Speaking to guests Sara and Erin Foster, he looked back at how a chance meeting eventually led to a brief romance.
