India, Sept. 25 -- The US Army Reserve is examining accelerated deployment protocols that would enable reserve component units to achieve operational readiness for Cuba-related missions within 90 days, according to military personnel familiar with the contingency planning frameworks currently under review at Southern Command headquarters, CBS News reported.

The compressed timeline represents a significant departure from traditional reserve mobilisation procedures, which typically require six to twelve months for full personnel preparation, equipment acquisition, and training certification.
