India, July 16 -- Conor McGregor has made it clear that he does not believe his return at UFC 329 should count as a defeat. The former two-division UFC champion made his comeback after five years away, facing Max Holloway in the welterweight main event in Las Vegas. However, the fight ended just 69 seconds into the opening round after McGregor injured his knee while throwing his first kick, leaving him unable to continue and prompting referee Mike Beltran to wave off the contest.

Following the bout, McGregor shared an update on Instagram, revealing that he was set to undergo a leg scan and expected the results the following day. The Irish star also argued that the outcome should be changed from a first-round TKO loss to a No Contest.
